Proverbs 11:14 says "Where no wise guidance is, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."

Who do you have on your "wise counselor" team ?

Are there people in your life who support and guide you no matter what the circumstances? Do they say the hard things to you that others may shy away from?  Who keeps you moving forward in your life - to help you see through the forest that, let's admit, can get very dark at times?

Even though I act as a "wise counselor" to others, I need them myself.  We always say "coaches need coaches."

One wise counselor I have is my business / life coach, Camelia.

Over the last few weeks she has guided and supported me through some potentially destructive decisions.

Lately I have been pushing myself extra hard in many different aspects of my life and it has been exhausting me in mind. body, and spirit.

I was beginning to drop the ball in ALL areas of my life.

Last Tuesday it really started to show up when a bunch of mishaps happened all in the same day.

Here's just a small sample of what was happening...

  • I hit send instead of save and shot out an email that wasn't proofed or in it's final draft.  Whoops!
  • I somehow managed to drive over a curb with my car but luckily didn't do any damage. Phew!
  • The big kicker...I made a poor parenting decision with my daughter. Unacceptable!

My pride told me to keep going but my wise counselor spoke truth into me and gave me the perspective and permission to walk away from things that were hurting me more than helping me.

I would have kept going without someone who has my best interest in mind telling me the truth and bringing me back to safety.

Too often in the fitness and weight loss realm, I see people operating without wise counselors.

You know what happens to them?  Usually, they get hurt, burned out or just plain frustrated because of the lack of results.  Because they lack the support and guidance of a true counselor, they jump from program to program and diet to diet hoping for a magic bullet that never comes.

Hope is never a good strategy.

Do you have a "wise counselor" when it comes to your health and fitness?

I would like to be that wise counselor for you so you get the results you deserve and in a safe, effective and realistic way.

Reply to this email and let's talk about what a "wise counsel" fitness plan looks like for you specifically.

Dedicated to your results,

Erik Peacock
