Fat Loss for Dummies
One of the craziest things about us humans is that we have a tendency to make things more difficult than necessary.
It's like my dad used to say "if you do it the hard way, you get it done right."
As kids, we always applied this mantra when doing our chores.
Even if my brother and I figured out a way to get things done more efficiently he would shoot it down and repeat "if you do it the hard way you get it done right."
I love my dad. He taught me how to work hard and I am forever grateful for that.
However, as I've grown over the years, I've learned that if I incorporate 'working smart' with hard work, the benefits and results are far greater.
My fitness business for example. Over the years I have worked on developing nutrition programs in order to help my clients gain great results. Since I know nutrition constitutes 80% or more of people's weight loss results.
I insisted they track their food and added more things to track using new apps and systems. It was what worked for me but not for them.
Some of my clients thrived when it came to nutrition (mostly the type As like me). Others, not so much. I realized that all the restrictions and systems and counting and apps were creating more overwhelm and less results. The program was too much work and difficult to adhere to.
I was channeling my dad in me by basically telling people they had to do it the "hard way."
