Half Ass Or Kick Ass?

The Bible says in Colossians 3:23  "Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people."

If God were looking over your shoulder, would you be doing things differently?  

Would you be going through the motions or are you consistently giving 100% in all you do?

Colossians 3:23 created a big shift in my mentality.

EVERYTHING I do, I do as if God is looking over my shoulder.

I used to have the "it's good enough" mentality. But I soon realized my "it's good enough" was spreading to other areas of my life.  I was going 'half-assed' on so many things and it showed.

As someone who spends a lot of time in the gym, I see the 'half-assed' mentality a lot.

Any of this sound familiar?

You do a set of something and then spend 10 minutes on the phone while you 'rest.'

Or...always doing the same exercises over and over.  (Can we say the ab machine, curls and chest presses).

The best is defaulting to the same easy cardio machines again and again while watching TV.

These are just a few common examples.  Examples that deplete focus and effort towards the goal.  It's examples like these that show me whether you're going through the motions or giving it 100%.
