Today I want you to take some time reflecting on the following Proverb:

"A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man."  -Proverbs 6:10-11

This proverb is powerful.  It applies to so many aspects of our life.  When we think of poverty we usually associate it with lacking money.   But it can also be associated with our health, our relationships, even our spiritual well-being.

This past year with COVID many of us went into "slumber" mode and let different aspects of our life go south.  I see it a lot with health and fitness.  Too much 'folding of the hands to rest' along with too much of the eating and drinking and there you have it... "COVID 19"  gained. And for many, it's more like the "COVID-30."

As a matter of fact, a recent Harris poll survey found that the weight of 61% of US adults fluctuated in the past year, with an average weight gain of 29 pounds among those who put on weight!

Unbelievable.  It's the truth. The pandemic created "poverty' for us in so many ways - and it's time to get our lives back.

Having good health dramatically improves your quality of life.  Once it's gone there is no price you won't pay to get it back.  No price you wouldn't pay to get that 'pre-pandemic' feeling back and gain the 'wealth' we all deserve.

Laziness is the "armed man" that robs us of our health.

That sounds harsh but it 's true.

I often hear the excuse of not having time or being too busy.

According to the A.C. Nielsen Company, the average American watches over 4 hours of screen time per day and spends 2 hours and 25 minutes per day on social media.

So is lack of time really the issue?

If we are really being honest with ourselves... our lack of actions really just indicates that "our health is a low priority."

What happens to priceless quality of life if your health is snatched away?

What happens to your family and friends?

Have you been slumbering with your health and fitness?   Is it time to take action before you end up in "poverty?"

Most people don't have the time, energy, or knowledge to develop a plan that gets results and keeps them motivated.
