Meet The Face Behind Puravida Fitness
I’m Erik Peacock, the proud owner of Puravida Fitness.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope you will enjoy getting to know me better.
I started in college as a computer science major. However, I lacked interest in the subject, so I changed my major to something that I enjoyed. I was passionate about exercise, so I decided to become a personal fitness trainer.
Over the next decade, I realized that I was good at creating results-driven fitness programs and effective nutritional plans for people. It inspired me to open a gym and health club in 2005.
Over the past sixteen years, I’ve noticed that the personal training industry has become more competitive. Therefore, I stay updated with the latest technology and incorporate new software and apps into my training methodology.
I’m committed to continuous improvement, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart from others is my accountability. Consequently, I work with honesty and integrity, and I promote seamless teamwork amongst my all-star trainers.
I also attribute my success to putting God first and operating the business like a ministry and not a typical profit and loss enterprise.
The Bible says, “He who waters others will be watered.” So I strive to serve and not be served. My mission statement is to “be a conduit, not a container.” I’m also inspired by Philippians 4:13. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,”
Similarly, I don’t strive to earn my salvation as the blood of Christ has paid for it. I take this seriously and want to run a good race as I love the Lord and look forward to the day when I hear “well done, good and faithful servant.”
I don’t know how many days I have left on this planet, so I make sure each one counts. The Lord has given me talents and abilities to bless others, so I focus on letting the Lord work through me to accomplish His will for every area of my life.
Being a giver and not a taker, has enabled me to develop personal relationships with clients. Therefore, it’s rewarding to help them achieve fitness goals that bring hope and joy into their lives.
In 2005, I did a 5K walk with a client who had been in a wheelchair for thirteen years. She walked the entire distance with a considerable crowd cheering us on and a local TV station covering it. I rate it as one of the top days of my life, along with my wedding day and watching my kids being born.
When I’m not putting clients through their paces, I enjoy family time, reading, fishing, hunting, and mountain biking. I’m also an avid music lover.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things that matter to me and how they influence my business.
