Attack BIG Goals Like A Mogul Hill
And it shall be said, "Build up, build up, prepare the way, remove every obstruction from my people's way." Isaiah 57:14.
Skiing in the mountains is one of my favorite things to do.
I've been skiing out in Colorado since I was a kid.
One of the biggest challenges on the mountains are mogul hills.
They are challenging and fun at the same time.
A few years ago, during one of my runs, I missed a turn and ended up on one of the nastiest mogul hills I had ever seen.
It was extremely steep and loaded with moguls the size of cars.
There was no way out so I had to figure out how to get down it without killing myself.
As I stared down to the bottom of the hill, I could feel myself starting to get psyched out.
I had a choice.
I could let fear take over and wait for the ski patrol to rescue me, or I could remove the obstruction. What I did was put my focus on the first section. I started down and made some strong turns between the moguls. I made it.
Then I focused on the next section and completed a few more turns.
I repeated this process for the rest of the sections on the hill and in no time I had made it down the hill unscathed. No need for the ski patrol rescue!
Funny thing is that big goals can be a lot like mogul hills.
They can seem intimidating and impossible when you only look at the end result. However, if you break them down, mogul by mogul, they become attainable.
