Find An Excuse To Win

Excuses go all the way back to biblical times.

Take for example Luke 14:18-20:

"But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a field, and I must go out and see it. Please have me excused.’ And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to examine them. Please have me excused.’ And another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come."

Sometimes I feel like the "fitness priest."  Very often, clients and future clients alike confess their "fitness sins" to me.  And just as often, right after confession they tend to follow up with excuses.

They're too busy
They will start when the timing is "perfect"
They have bad knees, back, shoulder etc.
They can't (won't) get up early.
They've "tried everything"

We all tend to find excuses or reasons not to be successful.  But what if we were to find an excuse to win?

It's true - a lot of things that we all know are good for us to do are not always easy.

Because they are a means to an end.

Why not consider a 'winning' excuse?

"I'll get in shape so I can keep up with my grandkids."

"I'll drop the weight because I have a family history of heart disease and I want to be here for my family."

"I want to look good so my spouse and I keep the romance going."

These are all excuses to win.

I'll admit - even though I don't always feel like going to the gym or eating well, I do it anyway, because I am physically and mentally able to.  It allows me to bring my A-game as a dad, husband, business owner, and friend.

I do blow it sometimes. I ebb and flow like anyone else.  But losing is not an option for me.  That spirit inside drives me to keep going despite setbacks and challenges that come up.

When I look back on the setbacks and challenges, I realize those are the things that have made me grow the most.

So maybe you are off track.  Maybe you haven't worked out for weeks, months or even years.  Maybe you have just been partying and eating crap in excess all week.

Guess what?  It's done and over. There is nothing you can do to change the past.  Nothing can change it.  So move on.

It's what you do next that matters.

What will it be?

Continue to make excuses to lose and keep losing? Or change the excuse to a winning one?

I can help.  And here's how YOU can start to help yourself:

  1. Take responsibility for yourself.  You got yourself here and you have to get yourself out.
  2. Find a coach. Quit trying to do something you suck at on your own. If you haven't figured it out now you won't.
  3. Take action. Good plans are useless without action. Too many people get a program then don't do it or don't follow it.

These are simple steps. If you are looking for a coach to help you get out of your fitness rut and are ready to take action, reply to this email or call me at 952-220-2448.

We will set up a one on one laser focused coaching session. This is where we will sit down with you and get all your info on your lifestyle, nutrition habits, goals, health history and current program (or lack thereof). From there we will come up with an action plan to see results in 90 days.

They say the master will appear when the student is ready. If you're ready, let our master trainers help you learn what exactly you need to do and not do to finally breakthrough.

Dedicated to help you WIN!
