Life can be broken down into seasons.

In fact Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 says
"There is a time for everything
and a season for every activity under the heavens
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot
a time to kill and a time to heal
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh
a time to mourn and a time to dance
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing
a time to search and a time to give up
a time to keep and a time to throw away
a time to tear and a time to mend
a time to be silent and a time to speak
a time to love and a time to hate
a time for war and a time for peace."

One of my friends made the comment the other day that everything seems to go right for me.

Nothing could be farther from the truth.

So far, 2022 has been a very challenging year. I have been tested in ALL areas of my life.

In the past, I would go into self-pity/shutdown mode when challenges arose.  Thankfully, I've grown and have figured out that self-pity doesn't work well.  I admit there is a part of me that does want to call in sick and hide in my house- maybe binge watching Netflix and eat all the carbs, but I know that will not accomplish anything.

I realize these challenges are just seasons. I've been through them before and I will go through them again.

I have a "double top secret" weapon that really helps me stay motivated during the "rough waters" of life.

That weapon is EXERCISE,  The harder, more challenging the better.

Doing challenging workouts keeps me fired up to take on life's problems head on. It's like flipping a switch from depressed and unmotivated to fired up and ready to go.

There are two reasons this works so well.

#1-It reminds me I'm still in the fight and gives me confidence to keep going, and

#2-Intense exercise has been shown to release higher levels of Dopamine and Serotonin - key brain chemicals for mood elevation and motivation.  I call these the secret sauce to my secret weapon.  Cause when your mood is good, and you're feeling motivated, depression and anxiety are reduced.  You feel better, you function better, you ARE better.

Are you going through a tough season?

Now, I'm not saying you need to go out and deadlift 415lbs, or do the crazy 50th birthday workout my clients challenged me to, but I am saying that this 'secret weapon' can support you too.  Let's work to increase your secret sauce and employ my secret weapon.

Are you ready?

Just reply to this email to set up a COMPLIMENTARY SUCCESS SESSION with me.  We will assess where you are as well as where you want to go and the BEST way to get there.  Make this YOUR season.

Dedicated to helping you through the tough season of life,

Erik Peacock

P.S.  Do not let the intense workout scare you away. We meet you where you are at and design ALL workouts to the level of our clients.
